About the Event

Susan Baumann is a licensed Occupational Therapist with 31 years of experience, including 21 years as a certified provider of biofeedback therapy. Biofeedback therapy teaches self-regulation techniques patients can use at the onset of stress triggers and worsening pain, to reverse the body’s pain and stress responses and minimize the severity and duration of symptoms. 

Susan worked at Beaver Dam Community Hospital from 1999 to 2019, during which time she established the hospital’s biofeedback clinic. She now works in private practice through Mind Body OT, LLC, providing biofeedback therapy and specializing in chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, and incontinence. 

This event will focus on the physical and mental benefits of practicing mindfulness techniques. Susan will teach attendees several specific techniques including diaphragmatic breathing, autogenics, mental body scans, grounding tools, and mindfulness meditation. Attendees will also receive tips for helpful apps to download and YouTube videos to watch for additional ways to practice mindfulness in their daily lives.
